Brinkley Morgan Welcomes Nicholas J. Monterosso as Partner
Experienced estate planning and tax attorney strengthens firm’s Wills, Trusts and Estates, Business and Taxation practices
Brinkley Morgan announced today that Nicholas J. “Nick” Monterosso has joined the firm as a partner in its Fort Lauderdale office. Monterosso will focus his practice on sophisticated estate and tax planning, business planning, and the representation of corporate trustees and bank trust departments.
Monterosso brings more than a decade of legal experience advising individuals, families, closely held businesses and corporate fiduciaries on complex wealth transfer, tax and trust matters. His practice includes counseling clients on tax-efficient wealth transfers and irrevocable trust planning, as well as structuring shareholder agreements, buy-sell agreements and other arrangements designed to protect closely held business interests.

Monterosso also advises corporate trustees and bank trust departments throughout all phases of irrevocable trust administration. His experience spans both private practice at international law firms and serving as general counsel for a family-owned real estate development company, giving him a broad perspective on the legal and business considerations facing his clients.

Prior to attending law school, Monterosso spent four years working in social services, an experience that continues to shape his approach to client counseling and relationship management.
Monterosso earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School in 2013 and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oakland University in 2006. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Michigan.
Monterosso previously served as Chair of the Estates and Trusts Committee of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan and on the Strategic Planning Committee of the Board of the Children’s Center of Wayne County. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Broward County, the Broward County Bar Association, and FLN Global – Fort Lauderdale Chapter II.
Monterosso lives in Plantation, Florida, with his wife and six children.
