Brinkley Morgan Partner Kenneth A. Gordon Elected as Board Chair for the Broward Partnership

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. [February 14, 2020] – Brinkley Morgan Partner Kenneth A. Gordon has been elected as the new Board Chair for the Broward Partnership, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals and families find their way back from homelessness. In this role, Mr. Gordon will guide the  Partnership’s Board of Directors in its mission to further reduce homelessness in Broward County. He succeeds Dodie Keith-Lazowick, who has served as Board Chair since 2015.

Since 2011, Mr. Gordon has served on the Board, including serving as Legal Chair and its Vice Chair. The Broward Partnership is committed to reducing homelessness by promoting independence and self-worth through advocacy, housing and comprehensive services. Since opening the doors to the Broward County Central Homeless Assistance Center/Huizenga Campus (CHAC) in 1999, the Partnership has evolved into a comprehensive homeless services provider. It offers 498 beds of emergency housing; a day respite program; rapid re-housing; and scattered-site permanent supportive housing units, reinforced by a comprehensive array of solution-focused services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Mr. Gordon serves as the Head of Brinkley Morgan’s Family Law Department, is a Florida Bar Board Certified Specialist in Marital and Family Law, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has 23 years of legal experience focusing his practice on handling complex family law matters, including dissolutions of marriage, alimony, parental responsibility and time sharing disputes, business valuations, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, equitable distribution, adoption, domestic partnership agreements, appeals, and all other family law related matters.

An active member of the community, Mr. Gordon is a member of the Palm Beach and South Palm Beach County Bar Associations, is past Chair of The Florida Bar’s Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “I,” and is a member and past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Broward County Bar Association.
