Brinkley Morgan Promotes Attorneys George Taylor and Julia Wyda to Partner

Fort Lauderdale, FL., [Jan. 27, 2020]: Brinkley Morgan is pleased to announce that attorneys George Taylor and Julia Wyda have been named partners of the firm. Mr. Taylor’s practice focuses on estate and trust litigation as well as solving legal problems arising from commercial and business relationships, including the litigation of those matters in both state and federal courts. Ms. Wyda, who is a member of the firm’s Marital & Family Law Practice Group, concentrates her practice in all areas of marital and family law, including dissolution of marriage, paternity, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and child dependency.

As an active member of the community, Mr. Taylor serves on the boards of Arc Broward, the Broward Performing Arts Foundation, and the Salah Foundation. He was Chairman of the KIDS Campaign for Broward Health, which raised $22.6 million in less than two years for the renovation and expansion of the children’s hospital at Broward Health Medical Center.

Mr. Taylor has been recognized as a Florida Rising Star by Super Lawyers from 2017 to 2019 and as an Up & Comer by South Florida Business & Wealth Magazine in 2016. He received the Profiles in Leadership Award from Leadership Broward in 2016; he was the honoree at the American Cancer Society Celebration Gala in 2017, and received the Royal Poinciana Community Leadership Award from the Debbie’s Dream Foundation at the Dream Makers Gala in 2018.

Ms. Wyda is an active member of the legal community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association. She was recently elected unopposed to the position of President-elect designate of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and will be sworn in as President-elect in June of 2020.  She is a member of the Florida Bar’s Family Law Section, previously serving on the Executive Council and serving as Chair of the Publications Committee from 2015-2017 and Co-Chair of the CLE Committee from 2011-2013. She is also a member of the Professionalism Committee of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association.

Mr. Taylor received a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Lynn University in 2002. He attended Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law, and received his Juris Doctor, cum laude in 2012.

Ms. Wyda received a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from University of Miami, in 2003. She attended Washington and Lee University School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2006.
